Road Trip Essentials

Hey guys!! Spring break is almost here, or already here, and I am excited. For my vacation, I will be going on a road trip. And I don't mean a 1 hour trip to the beach, I mean a 10 hour trip with four other dramatic girls. Yes it will be painful, the vacation part will be more fun... hopefully.

On a long trip I always pack a big bag to carry with me. Here is what I put in that bag:

Being occupied is very important to me so I always bring a lot of stuff to do. Being the book worm I am, a few books definitely go into my bag. Also a magazine is always a good idea. I always like to document one thing that happened each hour in my notebook, it spends time, which is always good. Another thing that spends time is listening to music, so my ipod is tucked in the bag as well. Now since I'm traveling with all these other girls, a deck of cards is always a good idea.

So we have our things to do, but we also need our smaller but still important things.

Since I don't have access to a sink, I always bring hand sanitizer to keep my hands and everyone else's hands clean. It is also important to keep moisturized, so a small bottle of lotion is a good idea, and chap stick to moisturize your lips. I don't know if you usually stop for lunch, but we do, and I always want to look presentable, so I would encourage you to bring a small makeup pallet and a hair brush in your bag. Last but not least, this is kind of weird, but I always bring a smaller purse inside my big bag. That way I don't have to hull around this giant bag.

I hope you enjoyed this post, please let me know some of your road trip essentials in a comment below, or by using the contact tab!! Thanks for reading!

Perfect Manicure

I change my nail polish every week to keep it fresh and pretty. This week I realized that I SERIOUSLY NEEDED A MANICURE.

So I heated up some water and added some rose petals for clean fingers and a soft cuticles. Next I mixed up a batch of my favorite sugar scrubs.
Sugar Scrub Cubes:
1/4 cup Coconut Oil
1/2 cup Shredded Soap
3-4 drops of Essential Oil
1 cup Sugar
2 drops of Food Coloring

Put the coconut oil and the soap in a bowl; for ten seconds, put it in the microwave. Continue to stir every ten seconds until it is melted. Add the essential oil, food coloring, and sugar. Press into ice cube mold and freeze for 20 minutes.
I rubbed this on my fingers and after a few minutes I rinsed it all off. Then I pushed back my cuticles, and remove any dirt stuck in my nails. Also I filed my nails to make sure they were even, at this point, I was actually thinking my nails were starting to look good!!
Next all that is basically left was to paint my nails, I always think this is fun part. For my finger nails I just put on a shear coat of pink, but on my toe nails, I did a coat of red and put white polka dots on top.
The sugar scrub is a great moisturizer, so I always use this when I take a bath or shower. And also this manicure technique, can be used as a pedicure. I hope you enjoyed these ideas, please tell me your ideas in a comment below, or on the contact tab.

A Cute And Easy Way To "Spring" Up Your Room

Spring has sprung! Some people would be starting on their spring cleaning by now, but I have started my spring DECORATING!!! And I will be sharing this easy, crafty way today.

What you need:
4 pieces of tissue paper (different colors)

First stack all of your tissue papers. Cut the papers in half, and in half again.
With 3 of your papers, fold (lengthwise) one edge in about 1 1/2 in. Flip over the paper and fold again.
Continue to fold until you have reached this point.
Cut the last piece of paper in half (yes, again!) Fold it just like above.
Cover the folds of the first stack of papers with this smaller stack. It should be right in the center.
Secure it with a piece of tape.
Cut a design on the tips.
Pull it apart, stretching out the folds.
Pull apart the papers.
You may have to fiddle with it to make it to your liking. And that's it!! Easy right?! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial!
