Volley For Christ

Some of you know about or have been to Volley For Christ {V4C}. V4C is a Christian team of two very nice ladies, Terri Bedford and Kristen Bortnick. These coaches started an organization for girls to learn how to play, and to help girls with their techniques.

I spent this weekend at the camp held at St. Lukes. The camp was only two days long. I had a lot of fun getting to know everyone else and perfecting my skills.

The coaches passed out booklets and we filled out a few pages while we were there. Since we didn't finish the books we got to take them home. The books are filled with volleyball oriented devotions. Like warm ups and stretches involve preparing yourself to decipher God's word and praying.

V4C also added a new thing to their growing organization, mission trips. In July Coach Terri and Coach Kristen are taking a group of people to Costa Rica to spread the gospel by playing with and teaching kids volleyball. They plan to do a mission trip once a year.

If you are interested in V4C and the mission trips which I know I am, the contact information is below. You can also visit the V4C website here.

Minion Case and some other stuff!

I've spent two-thirds of my weekend pouring over my three favorite fiction series. I've been so lazy, just sprawled out anywhere quiet reading my books. I guess I haven't gotten over my laziness yet because all day has been a mope-fest for me.

Weird thing is that as soon as I finished school, I felt better. Crazy right? After I  made cookies, I decided should get to some blogging since I kind of abandoned my blog these past two weeks.

I have something awesome to share with you guys! I made a minion inspired case. It's a case for a DS, phone, ipod, or anything else like that. I got the pattern from Hopeful Honey. Olivia has made several adorable crochet patterns, like this case. She also created a evil minion case!

I followed this pattern more or less. Instead of making two extra single crochets in the corners, I just kept going. I made two sides, and one eye with pink instead of grey. You can make two eyes if you want, just make them smaller. Also my smile is pink, again, however you like. My case is a female minion.

You can find this pattern here. Thanks for stopping by! Subscribe by email and never miss a post. Come back for more here at Girls Love Chevron, because come on, we do. Love you all!

Natural Makeup Part 2

Welcome back to Girls Love Chevron! Now for part two for the natural makeup tutorial.

Products:
I am using a coppery colored lipstick and revlon beyond natural cream gloss, in the shade 120 rose. They are very close in color. You want your lipstick to match your lips, and your gloss to be about a shade lighter than the lipstick.

Directions:
At the heart of your lip, drag the lipstick down firmly. Fill out the rest of the heart (the bottom of your lip). Finish your lips with the gloss. You can use your finger to smooth the gloss into the lipstick.

And there you go! Finished!
