Girls Will Cook: Mac N' Cheese

Making homemade Macaroni and Cheese is not something that most girls/people will do if they want Mac 'N Cheese for lunch. Most of the time, the box or microwavable kind is available. But I am telling you this recipe is easier than pie! (Honestly pie is hard to make so I don't understand how it can be "easy as pie.")
This recipe is super easy. If you know how to make the box kind, you got this in the bag! Your ingredients are:
  • One box of elbow pasta
  • 4 quarts of water
  • 2 tablespoons of sour cream
  • 4 cups of shredded cheese (I used a mixture of mozzarella and cheddar)
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of thyme (pronounced: time)
The things you will need to make this recipe are:
  • A pot
  • A strainer
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • A large spoon
Bring water to a boil, add pasta and boil until soft. Turn off the burner and move the pot to burner that has not been used. Pour pasta into the strainer and shake all water from the pasta.

Pour back into the pot and add cheese, sour cream, and milk. Stir until cheese-y, you might have clumps of cheese but they will get melted. Move the pot back onto the hot burner. Add garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme, stir until well distributed. As you stir the mac n cheese, the cheese will start to get stringy, so just make sure you keep the cheese off the spoon and in the mac.

Serve to your friends and/or family and enjoy!  Below are some step-by-step pictures to help you out.
