New Years Eve!

Hello Everyone! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. I sure did!

This week I've been in the Georgia mountains spending time with my family. I've had a wonderful time on the hikes, staying in our cabin, and enjoying the cute towns.

Although I've absolutely adored my time here in Georgia, I can't wait to get home so that I can start off my new year with a fresh start, and new posts for my blog along with my lovely readers. I hope you all have a wonderful night, and I hope you have enjoyed this holiday season.

God Bless!

Countdown to Christmas: Day 24: Christmas Styles - Fishtail Half Up

Hello! I'm AnnaD and this is my Countdown to Christmas. Since today is Christmas Eve, this series is almost over, but all the posts from earlier this month are still here, and available for you to read. Just go to the archives on the right and you will find them all there. You can also find the subscribe box on the right. Put your email in there for updates whenever I post.

Verses of the day: Luke 1:32-33 - 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”

It's Christmas Eve, and the next time I post, it will be Christmas and my Countdown to Christmas will be officially over. It's a sad but happy feeling that I'm getting. I'm relieved to be done with this series, but at the same time, I don't want it to go. Aww, the wonderful feelings of the holidays.

I decided to finish this series with a bang. One more hair tutorial just for the fun of Christmas and my countdown. Here's the Fishtail Half Up.

You will need:

  • A Hairbrush
  • 3 Small Elastics
  • Hairspray *Optional
Split the hair in a deep part. Gather a medium section of hair at the front of your head, pulling the section away from your face. Fishtail braid that section. Tie it off with a small elastic. Now on the opposite side of your head, do the same.

Once you have both sections of hair braided, tie them together with your last elastic. You can pancake the braid slightly if you want, to give the style more volume. Spray with hairspray.

You can also do this on any type of hair! That's the glory of this style. It will look differently on different types of hair, but you'll be happy with the results no matter.

Merry Christmas Eve! Love you all,

XO AnnaD

Countdown to Christmas: Day 23: Chocolate Thumbprint Cookies

Welcome! I'm AnnaD (or Anna Grace) the writer and owner of this blog, and this is my Countdown to Christmas. You can read the previous posts in this series for recipes, DIYs, hair styles, and more by going to the archives on the right. Also, please subscribe by entering your email in the subscription box on the right.

Verses of the day: Luke 2:19-21 - 19 But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart.20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.
21 And at the end of eight days, when he was circumcised, he was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

Merry (almost) Christmas!! I'm super happy to say that we are officially 1 1/2 days away from the big day itself. As I said previously, I still have a ton of stuff to do, most of which is all related to preparation of some sort for Christmas Eve, and for Christmas day.

One of the things that finally got done today, was baking. Today was my family's baking day, and we are still not finished. So far we've made Mexican Wedding Cakes, Hershey Kiss Peanut Butter cookies, Molasses cookies, Red Velvet Cake balls, Chocolate thumbprints, and the list goes on. We have still yet to make sugar cookies, Cocoa Nut balls, and Peanut Clusters.

My contribution to the baking was the Chocolate Thumbprint cookies, my absolute favorite Christmas cookies. I love to make, and eat these delicious blessings from above.

If you have not  made, or even heard of these cookies before, I dare you to give them a shot. You will not be disappointed. The Chocolate Thumbprints are made up of a chocolate cookie with a jelly filling and chocolate coating. Yumm! am I right?

To make these cookies you will need:

  • 4.5 ounces of instant chocolate pudding
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 2 cups of flour
  • Strawberry Jelly
  • 1-1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips
  • 4 Tablespoons of white sugar
Set the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.

In a mixing bowl, whip together the butter and pudding until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, making sure it's mixed well. Add the flour.

Roll the dough into 1 inch balls, should make approximately 30 balls. Coat the balls in the sugar and place on baking sheet.  Press thumb into the center of the ball of dough. Make sure the print is making a semi deep divot in the ball of dough.

Place dough on cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake the cookies in the oven for 15 minutes.

Once the cookies have cooled, dollop some jelly into the thumbprints. Then coat the jelly in melted chocolate chips. I find it's easy when I use a spoon to drop the chocolate on top of the cookies rather than spreading it.

Wait for the chocolate to harden, and then enjoy your Chocolate Thumbprint cookie!

Countdown To Christmas: Day 22: DIY Gift Tags

Hello, I'm glad you're here! Welcome to my Countdown to Christmas, I'm AnnaD the writer of this blog, Who's Anna Grace?. Please subscribe for email alerts on anything new that's happening on this blog. Also, read the other posts in this countdown by going to the archives on the right.

Verses of the day: Luke 2:15-18 - 15 When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16 And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger.17 And when they saw it, they made known the saying that had been told them concerning this child. 18 And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them.

I'm super happy to announce that there are only 3 more days until Christmas! I feel like since December started, I've been experiencing Christmas, but the real thing is coming this Sunday. Yay!

Now, the wrapping of the presents has officially started. If you've not wrapped your presents yet, I suggest you start. In spirit of the wrapping stage, I have a diy for all of you. DIY Christmas Gift Tags.

You'll need:

  • decorated paper or cardstock
  • tape (double-sided would work the best)
  • small tipped marker or pen
  • Your choice of stickers, glitter, buttons, and etc.
Begin by cutting out the paper in the shapes you want your tags to be. I did rectangles, squares, and a gift tags shape. Then, once you've cut out the base for your tags, you can decorate them!

When the tags are to your liking, tape them to your gift. Also, make sure you write the TO and FROM spots on the tags.

That's it! Super easy to make your own gift tags. So, if you run out of tags last minute, or if you want to personalize your tags to make them meaningful, this is the perfect outline for how to do so.

Come back tomorrow for a Christmas recipe! Love you all,

XO AnnaD

Wow! Can you believe there are only five days left until Christmas? It's believable, but I still don't believe it 😋

Verse of the day: Matthew 2:9-10 - After listening to the king, they went on their way. And behold, the star that they had seen when it rose went before them until it came to rest over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy.

A couple of days ago I was at my friends house and while I was there we painted our nails. We created the galaxy look and it was so much fun (I'll be doing a tutorial soon)! Anyways, I was browsing Pinterest for creative nail art pins, and I found a ton of cute holiday nail art options. I've done a few of the ones I've seen on Pinterest, and some have come out better than others, but the ones that turned out good, I have here today.

I figure that most girls would like to have holiday nails for this Christmas season and that you all would benefit from having some inspiration. So without any further ado, here you go!

A couple of years ago I got this as a gift from Maribeth. I absolutely love this because it's so cute and fun to make and/or have. It's the perfect gift for anyone who has a love for chocolate. Here's how to make a Candy Sleigh!
how did I not think of this! Sleigh made out of candy canes, add a pile of chocolat bars and rape!:
What you'll need:

  • hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
  • 2 candy canes
  • 1 Kit Kat candy bar
  • 10 small chocolate candy bars
  • ribbon
  • bow
Candy Cane Sleigh Needed:

Countdown to Christmas: Day 15: Family Fun - Games to Play Together

Hello my beautiful readers! Welcome back to Who's Anna Grace?, I'm so glad you are here to read day 15 of my Countdown to Christmas! You can go back and read the previous post in this series by going to the right under archives, and then under December. Also, be sure to put your email in the subscribe box on the right!

Verse of the day: Luke 2:7-11 - And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. 10 And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

I have another family fun post! Here are some great games to play with your family this holiday season!
Image result for Settlers of Catan
Settlers of Catan - this game is a little more mature, mostly because it's strategic. I usually say it's a mix between Monopoly and Risk. Now, I hate Risk, and I dislike Monopoly, but I absolutely love Catan. It's the perfect combination for any game playing family. I guarantee fun with this game.

Code Names - this game is new to our family, but we absolutely love it! We got it on Black Friday at Target. It's a little harder to explain in a short paragraph, but basically the point of the game is to figure out all of your secret agents on the board before the other team.

Twister - okay, I know what you're thinking. "Twister? What on earth?" Give it a chance, it'll be absolutely crazy, especially if you have larger members of your family, to shorter members.
Image result for clue game
Clue - My family always likes to enjoy this game with some popcorn and ice cream. This is a great one for the family because it's an upbeat game, but at the same time it takes awhile to finish the game.
Image result for pie face
Pie Face - This is surprising to most, but Pie Face is absolutely the funniest game to play and watch! I prefer to watch people get pied in the face myself, but nevertheless I still love this game. One time, we played this game like Ellen DeGeneres does. Look it up, it's even more fun than the original. Mostly 😉

That's all for now! Come back tomorrow for another Countdown to Christmas post!
