Countdown to Christmas: Day 2: DIY Bath Salts

Hello! Welcome back to my Countdown to Christmas series. These post will lasts up until December 25th, Christmas day. Yesterday's post was for a countdown to Christmas DIY paper chain. You can visit that post here.

For our countdown to Christmas with bible verses, we have the verse of the day: Micah 5:2 - But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days.

Today I have another DIY for you guys, but this one is easier to personalize. We're making bath salts! I'm going to be making several different scented ones, but the recipe is for only one mason jar full of peppermint bath salt.

You can give this as a gift or keep it for yourself,  but it's something that will be great for any of your friends, parents, or neighbor.

You're going to need:

  • 2 cups of Epsom Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon of Baking Soda
  • 3 drops of peppermint essential oil (this varies on how scented you want the salts to be)
  • Bowl
  • Mason Jar or other place to store bath salts (I used paper bags)

Mix the Epsom salt, baking soda, and essential oil together in bowl until mixed well. When you've completely mixed the ingredients together, you can put the salts in your jar or whatever else you're using to store them.

I made lables!

Added some stickers too 😊

That's it! It's one of the simplest recipes and DIYs yet, and you can change it up and personalize the recipe in the way you like. If you want, you could also add some food coloring to match the scent you pick.

Come back tomorrow for another post in the countdown to Christmas series here on Who's Anna Grace? and visit my last post here.
